EU & UK market -Authorised Representation (FBO) Service

Would you like to sell your products abroad but you are confused about how to do it now that we’re no longer part of the EU?
Are you a British manufacturer selling in the EU and confused by new legislation? Or an EU or ‘rest of the world’ manufacturer who wants to sell in the UK?

We can help.

Many Food and Beverage Operators (FBOs) are not aware of all the changes that Brexit brought for companies whose products cross the GB-EU boundaries. An important change is the requirement for products to have a local address for the market in which they are sold. Hence, if you make in England, Scotland or Wales and sell in the EU, your labels must have an EU address on them.

There are a number of ways to approach this issue. You could set up a business and open an office in the selling territory but that’s expensive and has tax implications. You could work with a local import agency but that can take a long time to find the right people. If you want to keep things simple and cost-effective, you can choose to use so-called ‘Authorised Representation’.

Working in combination with CERTLabel Ltd, we can provide Authorised Representation services for a monthly fee. Contact us for more details and a quotation.

SJWT will check your products to ensure they comply with the food laws of the country you are exporting to. Then CERTLabel will act as a representative for you, serve as the point of contact for enforcement bodies, and provide you with an appropriate address for your packaging.

CERTLabel can also assist companies that export non-food products.
